The Crew
Captain Ahielen Medina has skippered vessels since 2011, first crossing the ocean from Colombia to Panama back and forth and as of the last 6 years mostly sailing around the San Blas islands. She knows the area very well and is a great hostess. She hails from Argentina and will make sure your stay aboard Kaya is exceptional.
First mate and chef Gaston is a professional cook also from Argentina. His easy going personality and great charm are a bonus because his food is outstanding. You will really enjoy his thoughtfully prepared meals.
Rocio
Manuel and Marie make the stay truly pleasant. Manuel sails and takes you to the islands, and even goes snorkeling with you. Marie works magic in the small onboard kitchen, preparing wonderfully varied meals—not the monotonous food you often find on the islands. They also accommodate dietary preferences. Super friendly and never intrusive. You can have nice conversations with them, but they also have a sense of when you want to be on your own. You can relax on the net at the front of the boat or go swimming at the back. If you're staying for several days, you'll visit different spots. It’s definitely worth it.
Ricardo
Manuel is a great captain with a lot of sailing knowledge and very attentive. María is amazing—she made our days unforgettable, a great chef—and of course, Francesca is super sweet. I would always come back. Thank you!
Mario
Everything is wonderful—Manuel with his kindness and willingness to meet every need, and María with her gourmet dishes in the middle of the sea. The scenery is spectacular, and the comfort of the catamaran is sensational.
Guillermo
Everything was excellent. Manuel and his wife were very accommodating. The food was delicious. We had a great time.
