The Crew
Captain Luca Villagra is a 28-year-old born in the heart of Patagonia, Argentina. His native language is Spanish, and he speaks fluent English and Portuguese, which he learned during his five + years of traveling across Latin America.
He’s been practicing all kinds of extreme sports, such as diving, whitewater kayaking, rafting, windsurfing, climbing, mountaineering and skiing, his whole life. He’s a nature lover in all its forms, and he decided to live his life immersed in it!
In 2022, he discovered sailing – his newfound passion! Since then, he’s dedicated himself full-time to training and sailing, starting recreationally along the coasts of Argentina and Uruguay. And since early 2024, he’s been exploring the Panamanian and Colombian Caribbean as a captain and crew member on various sailboats.
In love with the Gunayala region, he decided to stay in this area for an indefinite period to continue exploring and to accompany adventurers who want to set sail and discover the hidden gems of this paradise, which he’s gotten to know well. During his time in this region, snorkeling has become his favorite hobby after sailing, and he loves sharing the knowledge he’s acquired just as much as learning new things.

Our group of five spent three nights on Omega, and we had an amazing trip. The crew were wonderful, taking us to great snorkeling spots, sharing their knowledge of the area, and cooking delicious food each day. This was a once in a lifetime experience we would highly recommend to anyone interested in exploring the Comarca Guna.
