Onboard Ulu, the sea isn’t just our horizon — it’s our pantry. Each meal we prepare carries the authentic flavors of Gunayala: fresh fish straight from the reef, lobster caught sustainably (and only in season), coconut milk stirred into fragrant rice, ripe tropical fruits sourced from nearby islands. Our food reflects the simplicity and richness of life at sea.

We believe in honest, simple cooking. There are no complicated recipes or extravagant ingredients — just fresh produce, local spices, and a touch of love. Whether it’s grilled fish with coconut rice, fried plantains with a dash of lime, or a colorful fruit platter served at sunset, each dish tells a story of the sea and the land.

Cooking aboard Ulu is a special ritual and a big part of our day. Guests will be welcomed with food that tells a story and will share the joy of having a complete fresh meal. The hum of conversation, the sound of the waves, and the aroma of freshly cooked food blend into an experience that feels genuine and unforgettable.

Sharing these meals onboard is also an ode to all the locals in Gunayala that make it possible for us to have the freshest produce, from land and sea to table.

Our philosophy is simple: good food, shared with good people, in one of the most beautiful places on earth. Aboard Ulu, every meal is a part of the adventure — nourishing both body and soul.
